Lebrun Labs, LLC (the “Company”) was formed May 6, 2009. The Company recognized a unique opportunity to improve products and services for wine spoilage organism detection and chemical analysis, including sterility and toxicity testing. While easily adaptable to numerous scientific disciplines, the Company’s expertise in assay development has obvious applications for food and beverage and medical diagnostics. The Company offers customizable solutions for everyday issues in wine production as well as life science research and medicine.

Stewart Lebrun, Ph.D., (Biochemistry). Dr Lebrun earned his Ph.D. at The University of California Irvine with a focus on the response of Sacharomyces metabolic changes in response to ethanol and toxin exposure. He then went on to Stanford University and The University of California Berkeley where he purified yeast DNA polymerases. For the last eight years, Dr. Lebrun has served as the Chief Scientific Consultant at Miragene Inc. and Z-Enology Inc., developing immunodiagnostic tests for the medical industry and the Z-Brett test for Brettanomyces. Dr. Lebrun is currently the owner of Lebrun Labs LLC and is also a part-time Professor at The California State University Fullerton.
